I'm convinced that the main reason Hamas isn't marching Gazan civillians at gunpoint to face Israeli troops, is that it would be a bad look on international media*.
And of course also because then it would be easy to tell which people are Hamas operatives and which people are civillians.
*Yes, I'm aware many media would simply not show the footage, but enough would for it to make a stir.
