Sigh... It bothers me that these X-Sense smoke detectors that seem like they would be a good fit for what I want are neither UL listed or ETL approved, so they haven't been tested by an independent third party. I would much rather spend more $$ to go with a brand that is ETL approved, so I guess I'm going to pre-order one of the First Alert Nest Protect replacements and see how that works. My current Nest Protects start expiring in August, the last of the five I have in use going out in October.
