I'm pleased it apparently worked out this time, but in the future, PLEASE consider proper canning jars. If you're concerned about single-use lids, there are other options; tattler lids for ball-style jars, weck jars with glass lids, etc. Canning is a great thing for many people, but botulism isn't worth saving a few pennies.
