Yeah this post was not to say that I don’t think it’s not still the best place to actually live.
It plays badly on TV and the internet because the key cities seem so intent on fucking everything up as quickly as they can.
I also feel like there’s a tendency for the terminally online (somewhat guilty but recovering) to indulge in that online view instead of the actual experience.
I suspect that living in WA for ten more years and then stepping across to an up and coming country could be the play :)
