Yay, three of us in non sewing repairs this morning. That helped.
First item, I helped get into a games console thingy that the client had already part opened. Unfortunately they had also managed to tear off a flexible pcb ribbon making it a non repairable for us. Also it needed a new USB charge port, but the heat needed to desolder/resolder the four grounding pads would have desoldered a load of adjacent surface mount components.
Second item was a tiny Roberts radio. Beyond me, but another repairer had a look and said it was too dead to repair.
In exchange, I looked at the sewing machine they were working on, and fixed that for them.
Third item was a hedge trimmer. I shortened the damaged cable and made adjustments to the safety interlock so that it worked.
Forth item was some Xmas lights. The switch on the battery box was intermittent. I desoldered the switch and took it apart to clean the internal contacts. Then reassembled and resoldered.
