Spoke with the surgeon on duty. Doing our best to avoid surgery this time. At this point I will need a resection in a few months to remove the part that keeps fucking me up. Course of action now is to get my infection level down and situation stable, and a long course if antibiotics so I can have a colonoscopy in 6 weeks without another diverticulitis flareup to interrupt, and then schedule the “elective” colon resection surgery soon after.
