Thinking about “AI slop” this morning.
There are two seemingly-conflicting ideas about LLM-generated art:
1. “AI art” sucks, looks cheap, and is easily identifiable
2. “AI art” is dangerous because it can mimic specific artists’ styles (or do deepfakes, etc.) so well.
It is important to remember that *both of these can be true* depending on how the images are generated. Don’t assume that you can’t be fooled. Question everything. Demand provenance.
