Made it to the theater for Book of Mormon! Met my awesome tactile ASL interpreters, both of whom I know and have worked with before, one of whom is an old lady and I was like .... ugh so there are lots of bad words in the play and we laughed. She said the other interpreter is signing those songs. lol! We went through sign names. This is where instead of spelling the names each time a sign is set up to indicate that person. Also reviewing signs the person may not know, in this case things like Mormon and Uganda both of which have proper permanent sign names but I didn't know them. We are waiting to be seated and then my interpreters will describe the stage and the set up and will describe the action in addition to interpreting dialogue! Phoenix is with me and is doing a great job! They have mocktails at the bar and I got one that's tangerine and fennel. It's delicious.
