#ScribesAndMakers Sep 2: How do you think where you live affects your creative work?
I like to set things here when I can (Vancouver, Canada). I think Vancouver, to me, is a damp, sleepy place that's rarely at the centre of anything. That's not necessarily true, but it's how it felt when I was a kid. I also do have a sense that I don't want my characters to be *at* the centre of anything. I like it when they're off to the side, living their lives.
