Yes, agreed. My point was to highlight the disconnect between the severity and breadth of the ecological crisis, and what I hear so many people think is the solution to it.

Wrt nuclear, I think SMRs have promise. I don't, however, think there is evidence to support that the current nuclear technology is a competitive alternative, ecologically or economically. (We all followed in Finland how our brand new nuclear reactor missed it's promised delivery date by 14 years.)
