I had a call from my manager today to tell me that one of our colleagues had died very suddenly.
We weren't very close but she'd been with the company a long time, and I've chatted with her online and on calls several times. She was a lovely human being, really chatty and friendly and so full of life -- and only middle-aged, too.
I'm so shocked, really -- she was here one day and then just not the next.
A good reminder to all of us to savour the precious moments, I suppose?
