And the regime under which I have lived have / are all authoritarian by nature, just with varying degrees of 'allowable opposition' - the increase in authoritarianism now is due to increased opposition, therefore can we argue that the more we oppose the oncoming fascism, the more likely it's inception, opposition is not enough, destruction of the system is required.
