I haven't gotten around to reading the linked post in full yet (so this is more a general comment than specific feedback on your ideas), but wanted to drop this one bit before I forget, because it often gets overlooked:

Lots of people, me included, have auditory processing issues and so it's very difficult for us to process and understand speech, often requiring vastly more energy than just reading. Personally I tend to just outright skip things that are audio/video-only entirely, and only read transcripts when the author has made an effort to make them digestible outside of their original audio format.

I forgot the author's name, but one particularly strong example of such a digestible format comes to mind: they publish transcripts of their conference talks, but they are formatted as hr-delineated blocks with each block having the relevant presentation slide on the right, and the (cleaned up and sometimes reformatted) transcript of speech for that slide on the left. I've found this format very pleasant to follow, despite not being its original medium.
