Some time ago a fic I really liked was taken down - just vanished - and I didn't have a copy. Since then I download an ePub of every fic I'm subscribed to as soon as I get the notification.
I have a decent little collection, but I'm mostly caught up. It's the new stuff I'm going to be missing.
