And you can live with yourself! That’s so important and I think so many people who “get ahead” by what I would consider to be “normal material societal metrics” are empty. If I were a manager at some of the departments I’ve worked in…I would happily take a 30%+ pay cut for a quality of life increase based on what I see them deal with.
I know “money can’t buy happiness” is cliche…but you don’t have to have a ton to learn it is true. Just seeing what some of the people who wring themselves dry go through makes me happy to be where I am, and based on this conversation where you all are at too.
