I live in an area where a large part of the year round community is not legally documented. I say it that way because the employer here or their minions help a lot of long term residents maintain fake identity, and many have been replaced by H-2A visa workers. Some years back, employer got a wrist slap, and overnight a lot of people had new names. In other words they won't help to change the system or assist directly these people in becoming legal. They fund Republican politics. Continued...
