Israeli occupation forces shoot and kill Syrian civilian with disability during incursion into Deraa
Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a Syrian civilian with a disability during an incursion into the village of Jamla in the western countryside of Deraa, southern Syria, on Thursday, 22 October, according to Syrian state news agency SANA.
The victim's body was transferred to Deraa National Hospital.
SANA's correspondent reported that occupation forces entered the village's eastern neighborhood and positioned snipers on the rooftops of residential buildings as they moved through the area.
The killing came hours after occupation forces fired two artillery shells at the outskirts of Abidin, in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Deraa, on Wednesday evening.
Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out incursions into southern Syria, raiding civilian homes, detaining residents, bulldozing land, and conducting artillery attacks in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, declaring their actions null and void under international law and urging the international community to intervene and ensure compliance with relevant UN resolutions.
