upon reading the life and relations of teresa of jesus https://ccel.org/ccel/teresa/life/life.i.html i find she much surpasses in spiritual attainment and merit the several hindu yogis ive read about. the greatest difference is her unmistakable humility and desire for literally nothing but to love and serve God, while hindu bhaktas are so fond of identifying themselves as avataras of some kind and of finding kindred spiritually minded company. the saint is a true example of the vedantic ideal, being in constant mental prayer and contemplation of God. her state became one of unmistakable sadharmya and its beautiful to see that such a union with God is possible within a human life.
