The Belgian techno star has teamed up with NAVA, a virtual vocalist created by Iranian-born digital artist Farbod Mehr, for her upcoming three-track ‘Azadi’ EP, arriving November 5 via KNTXT.
The project combines techno with Farsi vocals and Persian cultural influences, with tracks titled ‘Azadi’ (Freedom), ‘Omid’ (Hope) and ‘Tales of the Desert’.
#NAVA was created to represent Iranian women who are banned from performing publicly, giving the collaboration a meaning beyond music and technology.
All proceeds from the EP will go to #Femena, an organisation supporting women’s rights defenders and feminist movements across Iran and the wider region."
