1st and 2nd early potatoes did fine for me as there was still enough moisture in the ground through the first half of the year.
Grain amaranth has been fab as expected, needs very little water or care so easy.
Early sown calendula has been constantly flowering with very little water, so will make more patches next year rather than nasturtiums and french marigolds.
Foxgloves draw aphids away from crops like nasturtiums and did fine with no watering so they'll stay too. 2/n #allotment
