I am fighting a not-dissimilar battle on a much smaller stage in my department, as the loudest gen-AI "it's a fucking mania what is WRONG with this fucking campus why are we uncritically climbing on this ridiculous bandwagon" skeptic
but Alex Hanna (npub1e2z…n97d) is visiting us next week, so I'm not wholly without hope (and will try to get there; I have to shed a meeting but I think it's sheddable)
