Ok, so let me get this straight. If I liquidate an asset, that I have used to store my life energy in place of a rapidly devaluing dollar, and that asset, that has gone up in value almost purely through increasing the size of the numerator ie the money supply, and I make a gain in nominal terms over the year, the tax authority is going to saddle me with a 20-30% tax liability on this fake gain? Fuck that.
