To take off you need an initial mass, to attract such mass you need something juicy out of the box. Nostr is a wonderful idea, but it's not something that attract a FLOSS community, self hosters etc who are the sole possible initial mass.
For them a relay offering a Reddit like UI, a Discord like UI, a direct messaging UI (like emails) with media support (blossom) is something juicy.
Offering a Twitter like experience, with a to 3 small community is not juicy
