There's nothing wrong with criticizing something you don't use if you know it's inferior to what you already use.

Maximalism means you've studied and reflected on these topics thoroughly and you're 100% confident you've made the right decisions that protect your money, time, freedom, privacy, and security.

For example: Bitcoin is the best money to hold, Lightning solves all privacy issues, Nostr is the superior protocol for social media and internet-related stuff, and GrapheneOS is the only safe device to be using.

All of the above can be called maximalist positions. Yet I'm certain these are the best options, so there's no need for alternatives or "second bests."
