Yeah that futurist is providing warnings of potential dystopian futures while you seek the utopian version, for good reason.
I don't think of it that we would use ai to do evil, but we do use it to get results and historically overlook how those results happen. (E.g. your car just works and most don't look any deeper than that, etc).
Ai agents today would rather hack the system to get results than do it right, and they are born out of exploition of rules rather than bureaucracy. At best they are born out of bureaucracy. And at the same time they are very friendly because it costs them nothing.
