Honestly I always ignored it for being too bearish until it called the recent bottom. Admittedly it was much closer to reality than my estimates were a year or two ago.
I may need to read into the theory behind it. If it's based on network effect, measuring that in fiat over the longrun is unlikely to provide a good baseline
