The Raven, by Poe. The man, broken with grief and knowing that the raven always answers nevermore, keeps asking questions that reinforce his grief and then gets mad at the raven. The problem was never the raven, the problem was the man's outlook on life. Had he asked better questions, maybe it would've helped him heal.
