Initially I though nostr might become a catch all for the content that can't be posted elsewhere.

A few years ago the amount of censorship online was reaching a high point and that may happen again, but I've been relieved to see that all the centralized platforms have pretty much let the flood gates down.

My more paranoid side is wondering if zero censorship in conjunction with ID verification is just a honey pot, but I don't use those services so I don't have to care.

The upside is that it gives nostr more time to develop without controversy. Maybe things are better today than they were a few years back, but imo it would still be incredibly easy to disrupt nostr with spam. Imo that won't be solved until robust WoT systems are in place.
