I remember that Matt Turner, the former goal keeper for New England Revolution, suffered frost bite to his feet playing in a USMNT World Cup qualifying game in St. Paul against Honduras in Feb 2022. I think the reported temperature at the time was 2º F with a wind chill of -12º F.
Ridiculous. There were, and are, safe indoor stadiums where they can play. It's crazy to risk the safety of the players.
