My big gripe with this article is that 'The West' means 'The United States,' not actually the whole of the western world.
As far as most of the West is concerned, Trump can just fuck off. We can manage fine without any US involvement, and their withdrawal is not an interregnum but a blip on world progress. Putin and Netanyahu are much bigger problems.
