I think we, the scientific community, need to read this. GenAI models are tools, really performant one in fact, but the companies behind them are for-profit and they don't play by the ethical guidelines we have in place in #academia . Until there is clear legal guardrails, we need to be vigilant about the tools we use and how we use them, be it genAI or no.
