Really good piece. Reinforces an argument I've also been making on how the Lebanese army was repeatedly weakened by the Americans to make sure that it cannot confront Israel, and this goes back decades. While that remains a fact, there will always be a need for a Hezbollah or a Hezbollah-like group.
