my one girlfriend had VERY few "depressive" episodes unless she was coming down from drugs, she was grandiose when she used alcohol and would occasionally kick up a fuss like men do all the effing time when she'd been drinking. This was for years, never arrested but kicked out and banned from a few places. Then some doctor said BPD and now she is a fast gibbering pacing person who wears orange pancake makeup with flat hot pink lipstick and is afraid to shower, let alone leave her house. Another female friend with an entire girlhood history of physical abuse had a horrible temper and got diagnosed with BPD and put on a community order to medicate.
