Today I was given a new take on what is going on with the different AI tools: this is another iteration of the subscription based economy.
They want you to pay a subscription for *your skills*, and the people developing a dependency on AI to do their jobs will have to pay.
This is not just buying a new tool that can change how you do your job, you are *renting it*. If you stop paying, your new skills are gone (and possibly the old ones that you stopped using).
