They took a sabbatical in Florence, where they were enrolled in a fresco class (visa reasons). They learned how to make and restore frescos (without prior experience as a visual artist) and now they're proposing a course on the chemistry of frescos in which students make a fresco over the course of the semester, integrating chemistry concepts throughout
