I feel like there's some sort of "design pattern" analogous reasoning to refactoring
a lot of refactors are similar in nature, like, right now I'm introducing a new screen that sits between two previously existing screens that were shown one after the other, and the transformation I need to do to the code feels quite literally like unplugging a hose from some machine so I can add a machine in between and an exra hose that routes the output of said machine to the end
and, like, anyone doing code has done this at some point, it would be cool if we could give it a name. it would also probably be useless, just as design patterns are (most of the time), but it would be cool!
