Do you think that all data is not interconnected right now behind the curtain, legislation or not? The maze of entities and divisions are to stop you from getting there, not them. You trust the legislative system way more than is deserving and the 3rd party aspect evades it all anyway as seen in disinformation censorship. (The route of stable coins avoids all the limits of the Constitution which CBDCs might fall under.)
