I'm not sure it's exactly pandering to the 1%. We all want this to be easier. It started with LNPay hosting people's wallets, they pulled out, we scrambled to Alby hosting wallets. Now they're pulling out. It's always been custodial, because it's easiest, and we all liked it. But every time the wallet provider pulls out, we have to scramble. How do we prevent that from happening a third time?
