So I sort of ignored the fretboard from the fourth fret down (about the break, not wanting to weaken that part of the neck) and sure enough, it doesn’t flex there at all, the relief doesn’t begin until the fourth fret now.

It’s more than I want to fix just at the fret level, so I decided to remove the frets from the seventh down and re-plane the wood, and then Bardmoss helped me realize I’d forgotten the inlays, so now they’re all coming off again. 😬🫣🙄

A few steps forward, and a big one backwards.

But I never have done the inlays right, sanded properly to grade with the wood. Kind of looking forward to getting that right once.
