#ScribesAndMakers What makes me want to buy?
When it comes to books, my method is a bit weird: I go for the freebies, specifically looking for books with no reviews. As others have said, I prefer the DIY cover, but now keep an eye out for AI tells. I then check the author bio to make sure I'm not about to support a Nazi, and if everything is on the up and up, I grab it. If I like what I read, I gush about it, write a review, and try to bring the book out of obscurity. (1/2)
