I think a psychological hurdle people have (me) was working so hard, so much time and sacrifice, to get to that mythical whole coin, and then after all that, just wipe it away and say there is no such thing as a whole coin, it’s hard. (But whole coiners can cry into their 100,000,000 bitcoin)
Also, one of the biggest and most successful quick explainers for the bitcoin elevator pitch handbook has always been 21 million. That would go away- and we will need a new way to explain the scarcity (2.1 quadrillion doesn’t help ppl understand).
Bip177 differentiates between BTC and bitcoin which seems like a good solution to me.
