As has become abundantly obvious, the internet is no longer a place for everyone to communicate freely. Not even here! To put it poetically, almost literally, TCP/IP itself has been pwnd, and the very wires we use have been tapped.

The level of accessibility of these goods and services, has also found the keep up with the goods and services themselves. That's about to get worse, not better, as poverty will become the norm and high speed internet a luxury.

I believe the time has come to look into mesh networks similar to AREDN, largely using ham radios and offline Linux servers. We can build our own internet all over again--text-based, low bandwidth, encrypted from every angle.
