Most people realise that abstenance-only sex-education does nothing to reduce the rate of teen pregnancy, so why should we think that abstenance-only drug education could reduce the rate of teen drug use? Teach kids the dangers of drugs but also give some advice on how to *mitigate* those dangers. And how to recognise that something's going wrong, which means knowing what to expect from various drugs so they know when something's amiss.
