In the Netherlands, a ceremony is optional. The civil marriage can be done for free, its just a slightly inconvenient time slot (usually early mornings), and is enough to be legally together. This is what I'm going for, I don't want to spend a huge fortune on doing an extravagant party, I'll invite people who matter to join me for a regular party at my home and call it a day.
Fiancee may have to do a ceremony/party in Indonesia to appease her family though, but that's a future problem 🥲
