For me this partly the path of least resistance: I'm good at JS and thinking about architecture, but not sharp at any one FX like React/Vue/Svelte. If use an fx, then for a few weeks most of my effort would be spent on coming to terms with the FX and not on building $thing.
This way, obviously, I keep getting better at JS and the DOM, but never get good at a framework.
