Many people have made the joke/lament that robots were supposed to do all the labor so we humans can luxuriate, but instead we labor while the robots generate “art”.
I was just thinking about the cartoon movie Wall-E, which had humanity all soft and blobby from never having to work, while robots did everything for them, and this was supposed to admonish the viewer about the value of hard work. But our reality is nearly a total inverse, with humans wasting away and working until they drop dead, while the robots do literally nothing of value, just getting vastly bigger, more bloated, and less able to function.
