And here comes the delicious irony:
A book warning us against outsourcing our thinking to artificial intelligence may itself be the product of someone outsourcing their thinking to artificial intelligence.
My objection isn’t to using AI. It’s to replacing thinking, knowledge, and judgment with their convincing simulation, then packaging the result as intellectual authority and selling it.
Perhaps that’s the most useful lesson in digital literacy and intellectual autonomy:
Don’t believe everything a book tells you. Especially when that book promises to teach you how to think for yourself.
