A couple of months ago I made the jump to purchasing a solar generator for the house, which is a LOT more than what Doomsdays was discussing.
But in shopping around for something to run a couple of appliances for a couple days, I found that the market is *filled* with a huge range in size of power stations that can be recharged by portable solar panels, as well line current when the power is on, and even recharged from your car.
