I’ll return to the estate car sequence in a few days but my brother has just sent me a treasure trove of fantastic photos from a visit to the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology in Japan so we’re having a three-day interlude on Lexus. I’m starting with this, the 1989 LS 400 (Celsior in Japan), the first car from Toyota’s luxury brand. It went head to head with the S-Class, and its quality and technology stunned the industry.
