why do i feel like i can relate more to the grizzled, disillusioned hitman in a Korean thriller than to the person next to me in the supermarket queue, what kind of weird failure-of-human-ing is this?

or is it just the attention a film enforces. maybe if we regarded each other as protagonists, we'd feel more connection?

what worries me about 'now' is that we seem to have swapped out communication for broadcasting. so much is one-way, monologued. hungry for bidirectional curiosity.
